AS A project estimator, most of the focus in your role will be on but not limited to:
• Supporting all aspects of subcontractor and supplier estimating and bidding processes.
• Attending project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required.
• Administration of bidding documents.
• Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
• Reviewing and understanding of plans, specs, and addendums.
• Writing detailed scopes of work.
• Accurately evaluate and analyze subcontractor pricing.
• Managing all levels of take-offs while applying unit prices.
• Processing RFP, RFQ, and internal pricing requests.
• Develop, prepare, coordinate, and execute presentations and proposals to existing or new clients.
• Compile and send RFI’s.
• Set up project estimates and determine general condition costs.
• Communicateing with architects and engineers.
• Creating, updating, and organizing subcontractor and vendor lists.
• Develop cost saving suggestions for client
• Develop conceptual and budget estimates
• Competently draft, proof, audit, and deliver both private and public proposals.
• Work on multiple company bids simultaneously and delivering in accordance with deadline objectives.
A project estimator gathers, analyzes, and prepares detailed total cost information to maximize cost-effectiveness during the construction process. They visit construction sites to gather necessary client requirement information and analyze proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to thoroughly understand the project. They work closely with construction project managers to coordinate and oversee the vendors and subcontractors bid process. The construction estimator then determines the time, labor, construction materials, and product costs for construction projects and communicates these requirements to clients. An estimator works in an office environment, with occasional construction site visits, and typically works with construction and development companies.

The Successful Applicant
We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our team as a project Estimator. domus architectural products is located in towaco, nj. We work on residential and commercial construction projects, so you must be familiar with a range of worksites, cost structures, and timelines.
The Estimator should have:
5+ years of estimating experience or construction.
Proficiency in mathematics, statistics and data analysis.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Report writing and strategic planning skills.
Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets, etc.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional time management skills.
